Distinguished Gold Medal. Our Syrah is grown and harvested in two distinct blocks of vines: the Hill and the Barn. The 20-year-old vines of our Hill block grow high on Bradford Mountain. Planted in east-west rows with full sun exposure, these vines yield an earthy, complex fruit. Our Barn block, with morning and afternoon sun, produces exceptionally fruit-forward grape. We harvest and crush our Syrah from these two blocks separately, blending early in the barrel aging cycle.
Barrel aged 14 months in 60% new French oak and bottle aged for approximately1 year before release.
Tasting Notes: Soft essence of rose petals and ripe plum with an intense purple color and a supple, velvety finish.

Double Gold, San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. A consistent award winner since its 1998 debut vintage, our Peña Ridge Cabernet is grown on the eastern slope of Bradford Mountain near Healdsburg at elevations ranging to nearly 1000 feet. Our Cab is grown and harvested in 2 unique blocks of vines, the Rocks and the Terraces. The Rocks sit on a stony, fully-exposed hilltop looking northeast to Geyser Peak. Soil in this block is loose, shallow shale which provides structure to the cabernet. The Terraces step down the vertical slopes of Bradford Mountain towards Peña Creek and impart complexity and rich fruit intensity. We harvest and crush the Cabernet grape from these 2 blocks separately in small lots, blending early in their barrel-aging cycle. It is barrel-aged for 20 months in 66% new French oak and then bottle-aged approximately 1 year before release.
Tasting Notes: Lush flavors of ripe concentrated blackberry, currant and spices with an opaque purple color and a velvety smooth finish.

Our Petite Syrah is grown and harvested in a southwest-facing vineyard block on the mountainside above Peña Creek. The steeply terraced rows yield complex grape rich with exotic black fruit and hints of earthy minerals along with a deeply intense color.
The 2006 Petite Syrah is our debut vintage of this varietal and is extremely small lot.
Barrel aged 14 months in 50% new French oak and bottle aged for approximately one year before release.
Tasting Notes: A complex, multi-layered wine, with the aromas and flavors of ripe bing cherry with hints of mineral earth and a background smokiness of toasted French oak barrels. Deep, nearly opaque, purple color.

Grapes of outstanding quality inspired our debut 2008 Sauvignon Blanc. The Bevill Family planted their first Sauvignon Blanc in 1979. They are well known for their environmental commitment and sustainable winegrowing practices. This fruit was grown on the banks of Dry Creek, in the southern end of the valley, close to the Russian River on tall vertical trellises. A full leaf canopy provided shade to the grape clusters from the valley sun. Our Sauvignon Blanc was fermented in stainless steel barrels to preserve the crisp fruit flavors and bottled in December 2008, less than three months after harvest.
Tasting Notes: The wine presents aromatic notes of orange blossoms, green apple and lime zest. On the palate is refreshing citrus, pineapple and crisp green apple with a smooth clean finish.
